Outlook Appointment Add-in

This Outlook add-in is designed for Microsoft Dynamics CRM integration to sync Outlook category tags with Dynamics. This is accomplished by appending the category(ies) to the bottom of the body of the appointment in the format of hashtags (i.e. #BlueCategory). By doing this, when the appointment is tracked in Dynamics CRM, the hashtags can then be used with either the PowerDyn Core solution to parse the tags out for reporting/analysis or via custom workflows/power automate.

  • Create a new appointment or modify an existing appointment.

  • Add any category(ies) you wish to have tracked

  • Click Save & Close.

  • To trigger the category update, either add attendees, update the date and/or time of the appointment, or the recurrence. That will update the appointment as expected.
